Role: Developer

Required Technical Skill Set: Microstrategy

Desired Experience Range: 5+ Years

Location of Requirement : Chennai /Bangalore

Desired Competencies (Technical/Behavioral Competency)

Must-Have**

• Advanced experience in BI Reporting design and development
• Participate in the full software development life cycle and provide expertise in D2I (Microstrategy & BICS) development
• As a MicroStrategy Developer, lead BI design and development activities, identify risks and recommend risk mitigation plans
• Design, implement and maintain all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
• Perform Microstrategy Project design while ensuring that requirements are met
• Contribute to the database design through collaboration with BI analysts, Data Analysts and Data Modelers
• Experience with MicroStrategy version 10 development solutions
• Engage with the Solution Designer in the reviews and validation of the detailed technical design for business applications to ensure alignment with business requirements

Good-to-Have:

• Understand technical specifications and create report design documents
• Meet tight deadlines, follow development standards and effectively raise critical issues with the client

Responsibility of / Expectations from the Role

• Reviewing past projects, identify requests for similar data as candidates for broader solution development
• Generate appropriate unit test plans and assure quality of work
• Provide support for all phases of testing such as integration testing, and user acceptance testing
• Work independently under the guidance of a Technical Lead/Project manager
• Collaborate with other team members in creating optimal, maintainable, and scalable Architecture
• Expected to be proactive in identifying and escalating issues that will have an adverse impact on the project
• Interact with IT management and other teams at a highly professional and technical level
• Demonstrate accurate and complete understanding of project scope
• Experience in Java frameworks such as Spring and Hibernate a plus
• Support the existing BI application to maintain data and system integrity
