Role Summary

We are looking for an experienced SAP Project Manager to lead endtoend S/4HANA implementation programs, driving planning, execution, governance, and delivery excellence. The ideal candidate has strong functional knowledge of S/4HANA, understands integration and data migration complexities, and brings proven experience managing large multistream SAP projects in enterprise/global environments. This role requires leadership, stakeholder management, risk mitigation, and the ability to orchestrate cross-functional teams to deliver high-value business outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

Project Leadership & Delivery

  • Lead full lifecycle S/4HANA implementation?from discovery, design, build, testing, migration, cutover, to hypercare.
  • Prepare and manage project plans, timelines, resource allocations, budgets, and milestones.
  • Establish robust governance frameworks, steering committee updates, and project communication structures.
  • Drive project delivery methodologies (Activate, Agile, or Hybrid), ensuring strict adherence to deliverables.

Stakeholder & Team Management

  • Act as primary liaison between business leadership, SAP functional teams, technical teams, and vendors.
  • Facilitate design workshops, solution walkthroughs, and decision-making forums with key stakeholders.
  • Manage internal and external resources, ensuring optimal productivity and accountability.
  • Work closely with CXOs, IT leadership, business process owners, and PMOs.

Scope, Risk & Issue Management

  • Define and manage project scope, deliverables, and change control processes.
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks, dependencies, and blockers.
  • Drive structured issue resolution, escalation management, and decision logs.

Financial & Contract Management

  • Manage project budgets, forecasts, cost tracking, and vendor invoicing.
  • Supervise vendor contracts, SOWs, and ensure alignment with delivery expectations.

Technology & Process Oversight

  • Ensure alignment of the solution architecture with SAP best practices and enterprise standards.
  • Oversee integration, data migration, security, custom development, and testing activities.
  • Monitor readiness for cutover, golive, and hypercare, ensuring smooth transition to operations.

Quality & Compliance

  • Enforce SAP Activate methodology, project documentation standards, and audit readiness.
  • Drive quality gates, stage approvals, and ensure project KPIs are met.

Post-Go-Live & Operational Support

  • Lead hypercare activities and ensure seamless handover to support teams.
  • Facilitate post-implementation reviews and continuous improvement initiatives.

Must-Have Skills & Experience

  • 8?10 years of overall SAP project experience.
  • 4+ years in SAP Project/Program Management roles.
  • Direct experience leading at least one full-cycle S/4HANA implementation.
  • Strong understanding of S/4HANA modules, integration points, and business process design.
  • Experience with SAP Activate methodology.
  • Proven track record managing multi-stream, multi-vendor program environments.

Good-to-Have Skills

  • PMP, PRINCE2, Scrum Master, or SAP Activate Project Manager certification.
  • Experience with global template rollouts.
  • Familiarity with SAP BTP, integrations, API strategy, and modern SAP extensibility.
  • Experience in regulated industries (finance, utilities, pharma, oil & gas).
  • Exposure to change management, training strategy, and organizational readiness.
