Key Responsibilities


  • Deliver L2/L3 AMS support for SAP Enterprise Portal (EP).
  • Monitor, analyse, and resolve portal access issues, performance bottlenecks, and user role or authorisation challenges.
  • Configure and provide support for iViews, pages, roles, and worksets, as well as manage Portal Content Administration.
  • Troubleshoot issues related to the Universal Worklist (UWL) and associated workflows.
  • Support single sign-on (SSO) configuration and authentication mechanisms for seamless access.
  • Address Java stack-related portal issues in collaboration with the SAP Basis team.
  • Facilitate integration with backend SAP systems, including ECC and S/4HANA.
  • Assist in portal upgrades, patch applications, and transport management activities.
  • Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and implement permanent corrective actions.
  • Coordinate with SAP Basis, Security, ABAP and Java teams, as well as business users, to resolve issues efficiently.
  • Maintain up-to-date portal documentation, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and knowledge transfer (KT) materials.
  • Ensure adherence to ITIL-based AMS processes, including Incident, Change, and Problem management.

Required Skills & Qualifications


  • 510 years of hands-on experience working with SAP Enterprise Portal.
  • Extensive experience in portal content management, role and user administration, and iView configuration.
  • Good understanding of Java stack architecture and portal frameworks and services.
  • Experience with SSO, authentication, and security concepts.
  • Proficiency in UWL configuration and troubleshooting.
  • Demonstrated track record in AMS support projects.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.

Good to Have


  • Exposure to SAP NetWeaver Java and SAP Fiori launchpad, including transition knowledge.
  • Basic knowledge of ABAP debugging and Java/Web Dynpro Java technologies.
  • ITIL Foundation certification.
  • Experience supporting 24x7 production environments.
