NZ Shipping Administrator and Lead

Job Description

  • Work Location: Chennai / Bangalore
  • Experience: 2 - 4 years
  • Qualification: Minimum 15 years of regular, full-time education (10 + 2 + 3) is mandatory.


Job Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage all outbound shipping operations for merchandise, ensuring compliance with internal guidelines and external regulations.
  • Collaborate with logistics, warehousing, and vendors to ensure timely dispatch and delivery of goods.
  • Oversee the preparation of shipping documentation, customs paperwork, and compliance-related filings.
  • Team Leadership & Supervision

    • Supervise a team of shipping clerks or administrators, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback.
    • Monitor workload distribution and ensure daily shipping targets are met.
    • Coordinate with freight forwarders, carriers, and third-party logistics providers to negotiate rates, resolve shipping issues, and maintain service levels.
    • Track carrier performance and manage shipping-related service agreements.

  • Inventory & Merchandising Support

    • Work closely with the Merchandising team to align shipping schedules with product launches, promotions, and seasonal cycles.
    • Support inventory tracking, transfers, and reconciliation between warehouses and retail locations.
