Role-
The Network Architect will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing complex network infrastructures across multiple locations and wide geographies. The ideal candidate will possess extensive hands-on experience with leading OEM products such as Cisco, Juniper, and Aruba, and demonstrate a strong understanding of security guidelines and best practices. The role demands technical expertise in crafting detailed network solutions, preparing comprehensive documentation, and ensuring seamless delivery and support mechanisms in alignment with business objectives.
Key Objectives
- Design scalable, secure, and resilient network architectures to meet large-scale organisational requirements.
- Ensure compliance with industry-standard security guidelines and regulations.
- Deliver end-to-end solutions, from conceptualisation to post-implementation support.
Key Responsibilities
- Network Solution Design: Develop detailed network designs incorporating Cisco, Juniper, Aruba, and other relevant OEM technologies to support multi-site connectivity and high availability.
- Security Integration: Ensure all designs adhere to established security guidelines, including risk identification and mitigation strategies, and compliance with relevant standards.
- Bill of Quantities (BOQ) Preparation: Prepare precise BOQs outlining hardware, software, and licensing requirements for proposed solutions, ensuring cost-effectiveness and scalability.
- Implementation Planning: Develop comprehensive implementation plans, including timelines, resource allocation, risk assessments, and contingency measures.
- Support Mechanisms: Define and establish robust support structures, including escalation matrices, troubleshooting procedures, and knowledge transfer protocols.
- Delivery Models: Evaluate and recommend appropriate delivery models (on-premises, cloud, hybrid) based on organisational needs and network requirements.
- Monitoring and Management: Establish monitoring frameworks and management methodologies to ensure network performance, reliability, and compliance with operational standards.
- Service Level Agreements (SLAs): Draft and negotiate SLAs specifying performance metrics, uptime commitments, response times, and support levels.
- Statement of Work (SOW) Preparation: Prepare clear and detailed SOWs for network projects, outlining scope, deliverables, timelines, and responsibilities.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Liaise with internal teams, vendors, and business stakeholders to ensure alignment of network solutions with organisational goals.
- Documentation: Maintain up-to-date technical documentation, diagrams, and reports for all network projects and changes.
Required Skills and Experience
- Demonstrable experience with Cisco, Juniper, Aruba, and other leading OEM networking products.
- Expertise in designing and deploying large-scale enterprise or service provider networks spanning multiple locations.
- Sound understanding of network protocols, routing and switching, wireless, WAN, LAN, and VPN technologies.
- Proven exposure to security frameworks, guidelines, and compliance requirements (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST).
- Proficiency in preparing BOQs, implementation plans, and technical documentation.
- Experience developing support and delivery models, including managed services and hybrid deployments.
- Strong knowledge of network monitoring, management tools, and methodologies.
- Track record of preparing and negotiating SLAs and SOWs for network projects.
