TCS presents an excellent opportunity for Liferay Developer

Role: Liferay Portal Developer

Desired Experience Range: 5-10 years

Location: Chennai/Bangalore/Hyderabad/Pune/Kolkata

Must Have:

• 5 to 8 years of professional experience working with Liferay Portal (version 6.x, 7.x preferred).
• Strong Java development skills, including J2EE, Servlets, JSP, and Spring Framework.
• Experience with Liferay portlet development using MVC frameworks like MVC, MVCPortlet, or Vaadin.
• Proficient in front-end technologies such as HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and frameworks like Angular or React is a plus.
• Knowledge of database design and SQL (MySQL, Oracle, or PostgreSQL).
• Experience with Liferay Service Builder and OSGi module development.
• Familiarity with portal security, SSO integration, and LDAP.
• Experience working with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and customize Liferay Portal applications and components (portlets, themes, hooks, etc.).
• Implement new features and enhancements based on business requirements.
• Integrate Liferay with backend systems using REST APIs, SOAP, and other middleware.
• Develop and maintain custom workflows using Liferay Workflow and Kaleo.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize portal performance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including QA, UX/UI, and business stakeholders.
• Write technical documentation and participate in code reviews.
• Stay updated with new Liferay features and best practices.

Preferred Qualifications

• Liferay Certified Developer or equivalent certification.
• Experience with Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and automated testing frameworks
