Electrical Failure Analysis Engineer Bangalore

Job Summary:

Experienced Electrical Engineer who can run many complex issues with minimal oversight. Projects will come in, the engineer will determine the best plan of attack, and be responsible for the execution, analysis, and reporting of results.

1) Hands on experience in electrical fault isolation in consumer electronics / mobile phones - experience using capabilities such as LIT (Lock in Thermography), TDR (Time Domain Reflectometry), I-V curve tracing, DMM, Signal Generator, Oscilloscope and application of these capabilities to specific scenarios.

2) Knowledge of failure modes observed in consumer electronic devices such as mobile phones and their components (MLB, Display, Battery, Cameras).

3) A solid understanding of digital circuits.

Key Qualifications:

• To be successful in this role, you should have hands-on experience with various Electrical FA lab equipment (DMM, Spectrum Analyzer, Oscilloscope, VNA, Signal Generator, Micro-probe Station, Curve Tracer, Power Supplies, etc.) and a deep understanding of a variety of failure analysis techniques (LIT, OBIRCH, EMMI, SEM/EDS, FIB, TDR, Laser Injection, CT/X-Ray, SAM/CSAM etc.) and fundamental failure analysis methodology.
• Deep understanding of analog and digital circuit design is preferred.
• Deep understanding of semiconductor, IC, and PCB design is preferred.
• Willingness to collaborate closely across the organization.
• Flexible and able to quickly change course to meet the needs of the business.

Experience : 6+ years of experience in Electrical Failure Analysis.

Education : BS, MS, or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Physics or related field required.
