About the role

We are looking for an Accountant (GST & TDS) in Kharagpur to manage daily accounting tasks, ensure compliance with GST and TDS regulations, and maintain financial records. This role requires practical accounting experience along with a solid understanding of GST procedures, challan management, and proficiency in Excel.

In this position, you will be responsible for recording daily financial transactions, preparing invoices, and managing payments. You will also handle GST filings, TDS compliance, and bank reconciliations. By maintaining accurate records and assisting with audits, you will support the overall financial reporting process.

What you'll do

Record daily financial transactions and maintain general accounting entries

Prepare and process invoices, payments, debit notes, and credit notes

Handle preparation and filing of GST returns

Manage TDS entries and ensure compliance

Reconcile bank statements and monitor cash flow

Maintain accurate accounting records and update Excel sheets

Assist in audits by providing necessary financial documents

Support the preparation of tax returns and financial reports

What you'll need

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance

1-2 years of relevant experience in accounting

Strong knowledge of GST, TDS, and challan entries

Experience with bookkeeping and general accounting entries

Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
